MAINTENANCE of the MECHANICS

A Steelguitar is a muscial instrument that has a lot of mechanical parts build in. These mechanical parts need lubrication to ensure a smooth work of these parts.

MAINTENANCE RATE of the MECHANICS

The mechanical parts should be lubricated at least every 6 month. If you play more often then 4 to 5 times a week you should do the lubrication more often.

WHAT TO USE for the MAINTENANCE

First of all donŽt use WD40 for lubrication. I do recommend the use of sawingmachine oder motoroil W30 or other oil that is not made of a graphite basis.

WHAT PARTS NEEDS TO BE MAINTAINED

You should lubricate the following parts of your Steelguitar. Just a view drops should do it.

- The Changermechanismus bottom

- The Changermechanismus top

- The Kneelevers

- The Axes and Bearings

- The Stringrollers

MAINTENANCE OF THE CHROME AND ALUMINIUM PARTS

The Chrom- oder Aluminiumparts of your Steelguitar can be maintained with the stuff you use for your car.
