I have been playing pedal steel guitar now for many years and during that time, I have been fortunate enough to get to play many different guitars. Then some years ago I was introduced to Wolfgang Bednarz and his guitar "The WBS" and from the very first time I sat down to play one I was blown away. I´m very proud to get to play both the ultimate and the custom WBS guitars all over the world on live shows, TV work, radio and session recording too! I find they have a tone and a touch response like no other guitar! You don´t have to play it, the guitars plays itself! It holds its tuning brilliantly, you can take the guitar from the back of a cold truck to a hot stage, set it up and play it and that baby will rock!! It´s sustain is unmatched and that´s one of the many comments I receive when people hear the guitar live.

Ich bereue keine Sekunde dass ich den weiten Weg zu Dir gefahren bin um sie selber abzuholen. Es hat sich sehr gelohnt. Deine gebauten Instrumente sind nur weiter zu empfehlen. Die mechanischen Teile gehen so leicht und fast ohne Geräusche. Da macht das üben wieder Spass.

why Do I like to play a WBS Guitar?

Very simple:

- Good European Building

- Good Tone

- Good and friendly builder who communicates with the players and listens to them allways trying to improve the quality of bis building.

Why buying an american guitar when we have in europe equivalent or better quality and most of all, very patient person, especially with me.

We work well together, even if it could be painful at times, but the result is here and you can be proud of it.

diese Steel braucht keinen inernationalen Vergleich zu scheuen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, ist meiner Meinung nach, kaum zu übertreffen - handwerklich unglaublich - Sound erstklassig.

Fazit: es ist sicher für alle Pedalsteeler ein Gewinnm, dass nun auch in Europa ein hochwertiges Produkt erzeugt wird!

Rob Haines arbeitet seit 1981 als Profi-Musiker in der Nashville Musik Szene. Er spielt neben der Pedal Steelgitarre auch Dobro, Mandoline und Gitarre. Rob tourte mit vielen weltbekannten Interpreten wie z.B. Shania Twain, Lori Morgan, Pam Tillis, Tom T. Hall, Hand Thompson, Lee Greenwood und Barbara Mandrell. Von 1990 bis 1999 war Rob Mitglied der Opryland Country Music Show USA. Ab 1992 spielt er im Nashville Mandoline Ensemble (für Columbia Records).

Rüdiger Karahn, der bereits seit 1986 aktiv Country Musik spielt, war schon immer vom Klang der Pedal Steelgitarre fasziniert. Nach dem er sich, soweit das zu dieser Zeit möglich war, über die Pedal Steelgitarre informiert hatte gelang es Ihn zum Jahreswechsel 1990/91 ein gebrauchtes Instrument zu erwerben. Unterrichtsmaterial oder gar einen Lehrer zu finden grenzte fast ans unmögliche und so erlernte er autodidaktisch das spielen der Steelgitarre. Orientierung fand er bei Künstlern wie Paul Franklin , Dan Dugmore oder Sonny Garrish um nur einige zu nennen. Im laufe der Zeit verbesserte er seine Fähigkeiten und so konnte Rüdiger 1998 ins Profilager wechseln. Heute wirkt er aktiv bei Bands wie Jenny and Friends, Sixpack Country und den Santas Little Helpers mit. Ein ganz besonderer Dank geht an Wolfgang Bednarz, der mir 1998 meine mausgraue SD10 Pedal Steelguitar baute. Der warme Sound und die Bespielbarkeit dieser Gitarre überzeugte mich sofort. Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss auf diesem Instrument zu spielen.
